Irony
I chose irony for the title of my first post . It seems to me that the older I get the more I see irony in everything going on around me. In my school days I always looked for ways to escape studying English. Now that is the very subject I teach. The very things I used to do, I find myself condeming my students for. And I am sure that I am not the only teacher faced with this reality. What do we do?
How can someone who has no idea what war is about claim the right to lead a country into war? Why are intellegent people willing to give a proven loser the ultimate responsibility for their lives.
Why are we so quick to listen to the person who shouts the loudest, when in fact ususally that person has no facts on their side.

Hey KeyLargo-
Thanks for dropping by my site! I too never-in-a- million-years thought that I would be a teacher. I can't imagine being a young person starting out as a teacher. I have learned and grown so much through my other careers and life experiences that it is inconceivable that I could have been ready until now.
Interesting where life takes us, isn't it?
